In our Theatre program we open up the world of storytelling using imaginative play, song and dance. Children gain confidence and a understanding of live theatre. We offer beginning through advanced classes for all ages. All students will showcase their skills in our January and June shows, but are encouraged to audition for our winter and spring musicals.
Where dancing, acting, and singing coming together, Musical Theatre is a great introduction to the performing arts as well as for those who want to become skilled in more than one art form. Vocal work, basic jazz dancing, and acting will be taught in musical theatre.
We introduce improvisation confidence skills, storytelling and comedy, presentation skills and the beginnings of improv comedy, in a fun, stress free and practical, class. Completely designed for first timers, from the quiet ones to the more confident. (no experience necessary)
You’ll learn how improvisation and spontaneity works and uncover skills you didn’t know you had. You’ll learn how to be more confident, have more fun, be better able to adapt to changing environments and situations, be a better listener and communicator, and to be positive and productive with the unknown. You’ll remember how fun it was to play, taking away games and techniques which will improve the confidence and ability of your children, family and friends.
