The Mini Program, for ages 18 months to 6, is directed by Sarah Baltazar. Sarah has been teaching children of all ages for over 10 years and believes in creating a safe, engaging, and creative environment where children can build confidence and skill.
In the classroom you will see students learning the technical names and proper execution of all dance styles in a way that is safe for small feet and bodies. The use of props, stories, instruments and imaginative play help provide children the tools needed to progress in ballet, tap, jazz, music and acting.
Sarah believes that a child’s first experience in the performing arts should be one of joy and love as well as a place where confidence, skill and creativity come together.
Our Recreational program is for the older dancer who has graduated from the Mini program or is new to dance and would like to study Ballet, Tap, Jazz or Acro-Dance. The recreational program offers students a more relaxed environment without having to commit to several hours per week or a strict dress code. Recreational classes are great for beginning and intermediate students.
Riverside Performing Arts offers an accelerated dance program in Acro, Ballet, Jazz, and Tap for the focused dancer who is committed to the art of dance. This is an invite only program and requires that each student take at least one ballet class (focus or recreational). Students are placed according to skill.
