Tumbling

Description: Tumbling is the perfect cross training for dancers and performers. This vigorous genre helps build coordination, stamina, and strength. Learning basic gymnastic skills students develop confidence in their bodies.


Tumbling 3-5yrs

Children are introduced to fun animal moves, creative movement, and exciting challenges preparing them for basic gymnastic skills like forward rolls, cartwheels, and handstands. No experience required.

Tumbling for Beginnings 6-9yrs and 10 +

Students learn basic gymnastic skills such as forward rolls, cartwheels, headstands, and handstands. This class is a great way to get more coordination, strength, and agility. Powerful plyometric jumps are introduced to help learn control when explosive energy is used. No experience required.

Cartwheel Right and Left
Forward rolls with proper form
Hold a bridge for 10 seconds without bending arms and parallel feet
Hold a tripod for 10 seconds
Clean single tour Right and Left
Stationary split jumps

Tumbling Level 1

Focusing on developing strength, students go thru routine warm ups, stretches, and exercises. Intermediate skills are learned such as back walkovers, dive rolls, and split jumps. A dance element is introduced complimenting transitioning from strenuous positions and actions.

Requirements for Tumbling Level 2

One handed cartwheel Right and Left
Dive rolls, Hand stand rolls, and Back rolls
Hold Headstand with vertical, horizontal, and split legs
From standing go into bridge and kick over

Tumbling Level II

Advanced skills are learned such as aerials, handsprings, and switch leaps. Students work on floor routines adding artistry and grace to become a prowess performer.
