About Dance

We offer a variety of styles including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Pointe and Contemporary for children and adults. The dance department, directed by Josh Murry-Hawkins, is divided into three programs; Minis (ages 18 months-6), Recreational (ages 7-adult) and Focus (ages 7-18).

Our Mini program, directed by Annie Warf, is an introduction to dance using stories, props, a variety of music and creative thinking.  Children have a variety of classes to pick from that will give them a strong foundation in dance and music. All students are invited to perform in our Mini showcases in January and June as well as at Festival of Tree in November and Children’s Festival in March.

Our Recreational program is for the older dancer who has graduated from the Mini program or is new to dance and would like to study Ballet, Tap, Jazz or Tumbling. The recreational program offers students a more relaxed environment without having to commit to several hours per week or a strict dress code. Recreational classes are great for beginning and intermediate students. All students in the recreational program will perform in one performance in our January show and one performance in our June show.

Our Focus program is for the serious student is who is fully committed to the art of dance. All students in the program must attend 2-3 classes per week, with at least one of the classes being recreational or focus ballet. This is an invite only program and students are placed according to skill and not age. All focus classes are invited to perform in Festival of Trees in November, our winter show in January, Children’s Festival in March and our spring show in June.
